Selexsorb®
Selexsorb® CD is custom-formulated to provide optimum adsorption of polar compounds including water, oxygenated hydrocarbons (alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, ethers, peroxides), mercaptans, sulfides and nitrogen-based molecules (ammonia, amines, nitriles).
PuriStar®
PuriStar® R3-16 is a high-efficiency CuZn catalyst which is tailor-made for the purification of polymer-grade ethylene.
Prosorb
Prosorb N, used as sulfur guard beds for naphtha reformers and isomerization units, is a next generation, nickel-based adsorbent which provides significant performance improvement for removal of trace levels of various sulfur species.

Applications for Adsorbents for Olefin Purification

Olefin purification adsorbents can be found in various areas such as refineries for ethylene recovery and propylene recovery, steam crackers for cracked gas purification, and down to the consumer level for EPDM plants, butanol plants, among others. A graphic showing the different applications and the typical location of BASF adsorbents used is provided. For enlarging the graphic, please click on the +.
